I have always been fascinated by medical imaging technologies and their ability to let us take a peek inside our bodies. For Split Self, I converted frame-by-frame DICOM medical scan slices directly from my own CT (computer tomography) into image sequences, and animated them in After Effects to create these experimental video projects.
